Benjie Nelson is believed to be the youngest person ever to receive a UNIMA-USA Citation of Excellence in Puppetry.

Past winners of the prestigious award include Disney's Broadway production of the Lion King and the film, Men in Black.

 The 19-year-old puppeteer, now attending Stanford University, has been involved in the craft since he was two years old

and has performed in 14 foreign countries in Latin America, Asia and Europe.
