Magical Moonshine in the Schools

Magical Moonshine Theatre has been performing in the school setting for over a quarter century. Catering to the multicultural school audiences of today, we offer award winning programming highlighting various cultures, many bilingual (Spanish/English) and some non-language dependent programs, as well as literature and science based programs. Our extensive teachers' materials have been regularly complimented by teachers. As to our assemblies, in addition to the many "Excellent" reviews we have received from educators, the California Arts Council has rated Magical Moonshine Theatre "Exemplary," their highest rating, and MMT is honored to have received 2 UNI Awards, called the puppetry equivalent of the Oscars. Our quality arts programs and professionalism have garnered us regular return visits to schools, many of whom have us year after year.

Audience Appropriateness of Programs: Mostly K-6, with some K-8 and limited 9-12 and preschool programming.

ISS - Magical Moonshine's Inspiring Student Stories, This original program developed in the Napa Unified School District is an in-school writing inspiration program for elementary students, with strong tie-ins to the California Frameworks. Designed to help inspire students to write, this program augments and assists teachers by providing inclass workshops as well as the goal of possibly having the students writing produced as a puppet program.
